The Murphy-Burroughs House, also known as the Burroughs House, is a historic home in Fort Myers, Florida, United States. It is located at 2505 1st Street. On August 1, 1984, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Burroughs House provides living history tours once a week.
The Murphy-Burroughs House was Ft. Myers' first year-round luxury home. It is in the Georgian Revival style and was built in 1901 for George Murphy, a cattle rancher. The beautiful veranda wraps around 3 sides of the house. Nelson Burroughs bought the house in 1918.
